Preparing Soil Samples with Farmers – Elayapaththuwa, Anuradhapura
On 19th September 2025, the Biogenic Soil Sense Field Team visited Elayapaththuwa, Anuradhapura (8°27’13.7”N 80°20’06.1”E) to carry out soil nutrient calibration and testing as part of our precision agriculture program.
A key part of the process was done right at the farmers’ premises, where our team prepared the collected soil samples for scanning. This step ensures that the test results are accurate, representative, and reliable. Farmers were actively involved in the preparation process, gaining first-hand experience of how modern Total Soil Nutrition Testing works.
By engaging farmers directly in these practical steps, we not only strengthen the accuracy of the calibration but also build awareness on the value of data-driven farming decisions. This collaboration highlighted the importance of
- Proper soil sample preparation for accurate nutrient analysis
2. Farmer participation in the testing process
3. Transparency and trust in modern soil testing technologies
At Biogenic Soil Sense, we believe in working hand in hand with farmers—bringing world-class technology to the field while ensuring knowledge transfer at the grassroots level.
“Know your soil, know your nutrition demand.”
“Scanning the soil, profiling the land.”
