Biogenic Soil Sense successfully carried out a tea estate soil nutrient analysis and digital soil intelligence platform development project at Andaradeniya Tea Estate, Deniyaya, on 07 August 2026.

The project was designed to move beyond conventional soil testing by developing a structured, location-based understanding of soil nutrient conditions across the tea-growing property.

The Biogenic Soil Sense team carried out representative soil sampling, sample preparation, rapid soil analysis, GPS-tagged soil data collection, result interpretation, and digital soil profiling to support more informed nutrient management decisions.

Through the BSS Soil Intelligence Platform, soil information can be linked to the property and maintained digitally, providing a foundation for monitoring soil conditions over time and supporting future nutrient-management decisions.

Based on the analyzed soil conditions, the results can be interpreted in relation to the specific requirements of tea cultivation, helping growers make more informed decisions regarding fertilizer application and long-term soil fertility management.
