GPS-Tagged Total Soil Nutrition Intelligence for Michelle’s Estate, Bingiriya
PS-Tagged Total Soil Nutrition Intelligence for Michelle’s Estate, Bingiriya
On 18 June 2026, the Biogenic Soil Sense team successfully completed a GPS-tagged Total Soil Nutrition Assessment at Michelle’s Estate, Bingiriya, a 13-acre commercial mango plantation owned by Prof. Saman Seneweera, Senior Plant Scientist.
The plantation was divided into three soil management zones to accurately represent soil variability across the estate. Using advanced Netherlands Near-Infrared (NIR) technology, we analyzed the soil and developed field-specific fertilizer recommendations for each zone.
This project demonstrates how precision agriculture combines scientific knowledge with innovative technology to improve fertilizer-use efficiency, soil health, and sustainable mango production.
Our service included:
- GPS-tagged soil sampling
- Analysis of 16 soil fertility parameters
- Zone-based soil intelligence
- Digital soil profile development
- Field-tailored fertilizer recommendations
We sincerely thank Prof. Saman Seneweera for his confidence in our technology and his continued commitment to science-based sustainable agriculture.
Know Your Soil. Grow Smarter.
